The Fire Prevention Division works closely with the City’s Permit Application Center and Business License Division in providing inspections for new/existing businesses located within North Las Vegas. Other services provided by Prevention are handling customer inquiries/complaints, knox box applications, hydrant/access inspections, permit fee collection (Ordinance No. 2590), temporary event permits, and hazardous material research. (Forms are available for these services at the Fire Administration Building) The Division operates under the guidelines of the NLV Fire Code Ordinance 2589, adopted June 15, 2011, effective July 5, 2011, as NLV Municipal Code Title 8.16, which includes the North Las Vegas Fire Code Amendments.
