"How To Use Your New Carts"
[Picture of two carts by homes - one for garbage with a black lid, and one for recycling with a blue lid]
Announcer: Please place all your bagged trash in the black cart and close the lid .
All your recyclables will be placed together in the cart with the blue lid.
There is no need to bag your recyclables. Just throw them in the cart loose.
Please remember not to overfill your new carts. As mentioned, if you have more trash than can fit into the trash cart, then feel free to bag up additional items and leave them beside your trash cart on collection day.
Again, if you find your consistently exceeding the capacity of your new trash cart, then call 702-599-5559 for an additional one. [Video of a lady taking out her carts to the curb]
Place your carts by the curb the night before your scheduled collection date when it is full, and roll the carts into the street with the wheels against the curb and with the handled facing your home.
[Video of a light post above the carts]
Make sure this pace above the carts is clear. In other words, avoid placing your carts under trees, lamp posts, or other low hanging obstructions.
[Video of carts in front of mailboxes]
Also, don't place the carts in front of mailboxes or electrical boxes in the front lawn area.
[Video of two carts spaced at least three feet apart]
Oh, and place the carts at least three feed apart from other carts and objects.
[Video of a Republic truck attempting to pick up a recycling cart, but it cannot because a lamp post is in the way]
Republic will be using new automated trucks, and they lift the carts about ten feet straight up in the air.
[Video shows arrow that the cart is too close to a lamp post, and an arrow that the cart is too close to mailboxes]
So be careful that the air space above the carts is clear.

We know that you're going to really like this single cart recycling program.
Linda Clay, a Red Rock CC resident: "I can't imagine that anybody would think that this would be a difficult cart to move. It's just extremely easy to use and to push."
Gary Dole, a Red Rock CC resident: "We find it's easier to recycle and therefore we're recycling more. We are recycling more, both my wife and myself.
Ornella Crescentini, a Rhodes Ranch resident: "Very easy. I can do it. My son can do it, and even my mother with one leg can do it."

Announcer: Thanks for watching and as we said earlier, do something terrific: recycle!
